Market Day!!

There is a "Big Market Day every 9 days in the town of Egbe, about 2 miles from the hospital compound. It seems to be the highlight of the local social calendar - shops close and everyone heads to market! Each of us has been to the market once and it is quite an experience - many, many small cubicles and booths with various food and wares as well as folks who just spread their stuff on the ground. It is a sort of "free-for-all" atmosphere!

Its all hustle and bustle at the market!

Fresh peppers, okra, cucumbers - a vegetarian's delight!
