Construction Update

In the 5 weeks that we have been at Egbe, we have seen the building site for the OPD go from an earthen base  with room outlines laid out to concrete floors poured and then to walls going up. The roofs should be going on fairly soon and then the interior work of electrical and plumbing can begin.

Last week, several leaders from Samaritan's Purse visited to survey the work, interact with the onsite project managers, and plan continued coordination with SIM and the Campion family who are championing the project (Don Campion and his sister Betsy grew up here while their dad was an Egbe physician for many years).

The walls are starting to go up. Floors are being poured. More blocks ready
at the work site.

Carrying concrete from the mixer to where needed "the old fashioned way"
using headpans!!

A week late, more walls up and the building is taking shape!

Mark had a construction company and Abby was a pediatrics nurse.
