My home away from home....ELWA

Africa is often a study in contrasts. I am staying in one of the most beautiful places that I have every been but seeing patients in one of the poorest countries in the world at an old weary-but-well-loved hospital that has limited supplies, medications, and lab studies available. Praise God that a brand new,  much better outfitted hospital is due to open later this year with the promise of  continuing the 50 year history of ELWA's care for Liberia!

My guesthouse - 4 bedrooms, 2 baths, a living area, dining area
and kitchen - what more could you ask for?

My room, picture taken from my roommate's bed -
humble but adequate for a month!

Imprints of the grandkids hands - "hugs" from
Stella, Dexter, Lincoln, and Edison
to keep me company!!

Long view of dining and kitchen areas

 ,
Closer view of the kitchen.

Looking across the road from our porch.

Is this a road or a running path??
Wonderful ocean breeze and sounds of waves crashing!
