Each morning, as we walk from our house to the hospital, we see the spectacular beauty of the nearby mountains and valleys. The brightness of the clouds offsets the green beneath.
The main street of the town of Kapsowar is only a 5 minute walk. This is a view from midday Saturday, when all of the shops, kiosks, roadside stands and markets are a bustle of activity.
Another view from the opposite direction. People are quite friendly and many greet us with "Good morning to you!"
There is a large vegetable and grain market in the middle of town. Susie, the queen of vegetable cooking, is now on a first name basis with Leah!
The nearest large grocery store is in Eldoret, some 70 kilometers away. In Kapsowar, there is no Costco, Aldi's, Kroger or Meijer's BUT we have basic "one stop shopping" at the Talic store!!
